Flight 121 to LaGuardia

Updated: Apr 5, 2019

It was flight 121 thirty minutes out from landing at LaGuardia after the sweet smiling stewardess, Jennifer, handed me another Bloody Mary when the relaxing day fight turned to chaos.

Two days after my son’s birth. It was an ugly scene but the only blood spilled on that flight was that of the terrorists.

Now I sit in a small grey room with a CIA agent, two FBI agents and an NYPD officer asking me questions about how a civilian like me killed two terrorists with my bare hands.

It’s clear to me that I am now on the watch list of the CIA and FBI.

FBI Agent Howard, “Mister Toscano, in all my years with the FBI I have never seen anything like what I saw on that plane. I have recordings of the passengers who said it took you six seconds. So you can see why you have captured our attention.”

“Four,” I reply.

FBI Agent Howard asks, “What did you say?”

“Since I have your attention you should know it took four seconds,” I groan.

“To the stewardess and those one hundred and fifty passengers on Flight 121 you are a hero. But the brutal way you took down the two terrorists using only your hands tells me you are not just some ad exec,” says CIA Agent Zucco.

“Am I done here?” I ask.

FBI Agent Howard, “We are. But you Mister Toscano are a dangerous person who is now on our radar.”
